Sorrento is one of the jewels of the Gulf of Naples. On this private tour, we'll explore its most iconic corners on foot with an exclusive guide just for you. The best way to discover this coastal gem!
On the day of the tour, we'll meet at Piazza della Vittoria, right in front of Hotel Bellevue Syrene. Did you know this spot offers one of the best panoramic views of the Gulf of Naples? From here, we'll set off on our private walking tour of Sorrento, the perfect way to discover the essence of southern Italy at your own pace.
We'll firsthead down to Marina Grande, the old fishing quarter that still retains its traditional charm with its colorful boats and nets drying in the sun. After soaking up the sea breeze, we'll walk alongside the city's ancient walls and pass by the Museum of Intarsia Woodwork and the house of Cornelia Tasso, places that hold the artistic and literary history of Sorrento.
We'll continue to the Sedile Dominova, the only surviving ancient meeting place of the nobility in the entire Campania region. Nearby, we'll admire the elegance of the Imperial Hotel Tramontano before visiting 2 of Sorrento's most peaceful and spiritual spots: the Cloister of San Francesco and the Basilica of Sant'Antonino, dedicated to the city's patron saint.
Looking for the perfect photo? We'll find it at the Villa Comunale, a natural balcony over the sea. We'll then pass by the restaurant dedicated to tenor Enrico Caruso and arrive at Piazza Torquato Tasso, the beating heart of life in Sorrento.
We couldn't leave without trying the area's signature flavor, so we'll stop at Limonoro for a limoncello tasting. With the sweet taste of lemon on our palates, we'll take in the breathtaking views over the Vallone dei Mulini.
Finally, we'll visit Sorrento Cathedral and the Parsano Bastion, part of the ancient viceregal walls.
After 3 hours on the route, we'll wrap up the tour back at Piazza Tasso, beside the statue of the poet who gives the square its name.
With a private tour, you'll have an English-speaking guide exclusively for your group, whether that's just the 2 of you, family, or friends. No strangers in the group, and if you're a larger party, you'll save money too!
